When US Artist Cary Leibowitz worked in Vienna 1991 he designed this humorously street sign "Candyass Straße (Strasse)".

Provokantes Schild. Immer noch wirkt das Wort "Homo" anrüchig, obwohl ja selbst in Wien bestimmt 150.000 Schwule und Lesben wohnen dürften. 1991 sah die Gesetzeslage noch sehr schlecht für LBITIQ Menschen aus. Cary Leibowitz nahm es mit Humor und verwandelte die traditionellen Schilder subtil um.
Cary Leibowitz alias Candyass ließ sich bei seinem Wienaufenthalt 1991 von den Straßenschildern Wiens inspirieren.

Flüchtig betrachtet fällt die Botschaft des lackierten Metall-Schildes nicht auf.
